Department of Radiological Technology

Examination by medical imaging has gained popularity and status as an essential testing technique in medical care. Radiological technology involves medical imaging. It can be subdivided into diagnostic imaging, radiation therapy, radiation control, medical physics, and medical information processing. The Master’s program in radiological technology produces highly skilled specialists who can contribute to disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in a medical setting. Students develop the expertise to become researchers or educators in the field of radiological technology. The doctoral program produces researchers, educators, and highly skilled medical specialists with expertise in specific research areas in the field of radiological technology. They are trained in the development of new diagnostic techniques and advanced medical equipment. Both Japanese and foreign students are accepted for the Master’s and doctoral programs. International exchange is an important part of the program.
